But the Incas underestimated Pizarro. When Pizarro invited the Inca ruler, Atahualpa, he left all of his army behind. However, they also didn't bring any weapons. Atahualpa laughed in Pizarro's face when Pizarro told him to give up his Gods.When Atahualpa did this, Pizarro attacked the defenseless Incas and captured their leader. Atahualpa tried to buy his freedom, Pizarro said that it was fine. Atahualpa gave a a lot of gold, Pizarro took it, and didn't let him go. So, Atahualpa was to remain in prison and was accused for many crimes.

The Expansion and Fall of the Inca Empire
The Incas expanded similar to the way the Aztecs expanded their empire. When the Incas wanted new territory they would send someone to meet with that tribe and tell that person what they are trying to do.And if they didn't agree they would go to war. The Incas would mostly win the war. When this happened,usually the local leader will end up being killed.
